Local Company Elected to International Trade Group
International Communication by Design, a language service provider, located at 1726N 1st Street, Milwaukee WI, has been elected to membership in the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the North American-based international trade group for companies that manufacture equipment, products and services used worldwide in the agricultural, construction, forestry, mining and utility fields. The official representative to the AEM trade group is Jeffrey Jorgensen, National Account Manager. He will join more than 6,500 industry executives from AEM member companies who participate in the trade group’s issues-oriented, job-specific and product-based working groups in areas including safety and technical support, equipment market statistics, public policy, trade shows, workforce development, education and training, and worksite safety and educational materials.
International Communication by Design, Inc. has received certification as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) through the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce. The designation is pursuant to the state administrative rule requirements of Comm 104 which provides validation that International Communication by Design, Inc. meets the requirements of being at least 51 percent woman-owned, controlled and managed. It qualifies International Communication by Design, Inc. to be considered for contracts with corporations and government entities that seek vendor relationships with businesses owned and operated by women.
Project Manager Lionel Lim has achieved SDL certification. The certification requires successful completion of one or more rigorous proficiency examinations in use of the SDL tools. Users who are certified can often leverage the SDL toolset more efficiently and reduce translation customer costs and the time it takes to bring New their products to market.
Jeffrey Jorgensen joins ICD as the new Global Sales Manager. A business owner for 17 years with a strong marketing background, Jorgensen holds a BS in Economics with a business minor and an international business certificate from the University of Wisconsin.
